The day was shaping up to be a warm one, and with the puddles on the ground, dew hanging off the leaves and the water-soaked wood of the houses in town, it was muggy too. The air was getting thicker. I’m just glad I had my hair styled up today.
It wasn’t too much of a long walk to reach the town, maybe a little less than a mile, but at any rate, it seemed to take longer than usual. I blamed this on Gavin’s slow pace. I swear he was doing it on purpose just to draw out the length of time he could watch over me and Miku. But she didn’t seem to care.
